Computer networking research
An Internet built around data, not addresses.
Our research lead holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA and has spent more than a decade on Named Data Networking (NDN), a next-generation Internet architecture.
Named Data Networking
Every piece of data named, signed and verifiable.
In NDN, applications ask for data by name instead of connecting to a particular server. Every packet carries a signature, so it can be fetched from anywhere, cached anywhere, and trusted wherever it comes from. That makes things simpler for IoT, distributed sync, video and vehicles, and harder for attackers.
Architecture reviews
How your system names, moves and secures data, and where it will strain at scale.
Protocol & simulation work
Prototypes and large-scale simulation of new forwarding, routing and sync designs.
IoT and edge systems
Devices that find each other and exchange trusted data without a central broker.
Research software
Turning a paper’s idea into maintained, documented, open-source code.
Open source
We led development of NDN’s open-source codebase.
The software that much of the NDN research community builds on.
